Singin' on the Mountain

We are all invited to the “Singin’ on the Mountain.” This living canvas illustrates the cycle of life and demonstrates how we’re each given a new song by faith in Christ Jesus. Beginning with the cross in the sky, imagine a director’s hand moving in 3/4 time. Follow the cross down to the earth and to the man with the lantern who represents those who place their faith in Jesus. Then move to the right where Christ’s truth and the teaching of His Word draw us into fellowship with the Family. Together with one another the song grows. From there, we follow the smoke rising diagonally back to the cross, completing the 3/4 pattern and portraying the swelling and blending of our song with the angels and those who have gone home before us, singing and making music on the mountains of glory. “Amazing Grace” is written out in shaped notes on a staff in the shape of an Ichthus, the fish symbol that identifies and unites believers of all ages. The man inside the fence seems to question whether he has a song to sing. The only way for him to join the celebration is through faith in Jesus. Notice the cross reflected in highlights on the ground through the gate. Jesus said, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” (John 10:9) What will you do with the song He’s waiting to give you?
