Frisco Silver Dollar Line

Branson, Missouri’s Silver Dollar City was home to a Bittersweet Gallery shop for several years. There you can step back into the 1800’s and experience the past. The Frisco Silver Dollar Line invites you to enjoy the sights of the city from a different perspective; to feel the rumble of the track beneath you… hear the sound of the whistle… smell the smoke from the steam engine. Of the four engines represented, three are easily seen. The fourth in the upper left is the original engine from 1962. Its ascent up the hill symbolizes the warmth of returning home and sharing your stories of faith, family and freedom with others on your journey. A landmark of the city is the beautiful Wilderness Log Church, a constant reminder of faith and family which is the foundation of the theme park. There the Gospel is preached. Music and songs of faith are shared and freedom to worship is celebrated. During the Christmas season the city is transformed into a winter wonderland and Santa even shows up with a twinkle in his eye. The reason for this season is not lost among the lights and glitter, however. The story of the birth of Jesus is boldly told on the enchanted train ride by the wise man, the carpenter carrying the nativity, and Joseph and Mary with their donkey.
