The story behind the painting

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) The hands of Christ created all things and even now He is holding all things together. (Colossians 1:16-17).  As each new life comes into existence it flows to the earth. Sadly, some lives are cut short and return to their Maker, though our Heavenly Father assures us in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”  Do you see the shadow on His beautiful left hand? This picture of Christ praying reminds us of His prayer for us in John 17: “I pray also for those who will believe in me.”  Can you find JESUS, the Name above all names! “…there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
