Commitment
Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.1 Corinthians 13:7
There is something beautiful about observing two people who are committed to one another. In a day when the word “love” is used frivolously by anyone who even has a slight fascination in another person, the word “commitment” is so much deeper. It pictures an undying devotion and steadfastness that cannot be broken by the trials of a relationship. The Word of God (see the bridge foundation) provides the foundation for such a relationship. The Spirit of God (represented by the dove) within us enables us to accomplish this work of commitment in a world where it may seem like a rare thing.
