Someday

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:1

Notice the aged traveler who is nearing the end of his earthly journey. He is accompanied by a little girl just beginning her journey. As they stand on the precipice that symbolizes the abrupt ending of life on earth he teaches her as one who has faithfully completed his life. The darkness in the mass of rocks reminds us of the separation that is to come. But as we follow the river to the horizon, we see hope. The reflection of the cross of Jesus shows the way to eternal life. It is there that for the believer life does not end. In fact, if we glance upward we see Christ standing in the open door, waiting with open arms to receive those who have placed their faith in Him. From that door we see trickles of light representing the River of Life flowing down to the river without a break. Real life begins at the end of this earthly journey. Will you make preparation now for someday?
