Seasons

by Jack E. Dawson

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

SEASONS reminds us that life is not lived in a neat sequence but in seasons of both bitter and sweet. Walk with this couple as they share seasons, growing old together: spring times of new beginnings (lower left), summer times of highest joy (lower right), autumn times of growing and aging (upper right) and winter times (upper left), facing the cold reality that life is short, death is sure and somewhere in the not-too-distant future, eternity waits.  Do you see the heart imprinted on the snow where two pathways join? Your initials could be there with your sweetheart’s, joined by a cross over the heart as two become one. Wheel chair tracks in the shadow on the path suggest the times of uncertainty, anxiety and challenge life brings in any season; but Christ walks beside us in every season and He will never leave us nor forsake us Notice the cross formed by the highlighted blossoms of the dogwood tree. He proved His love at Calvary and His LOVE is written on the boulders that dominate the path. Look again at the couple in the distant pathway. The cross in the center of the heart that surrounds them speaks of His empty cross, bringing light to God’s love for us, the greatest love of all. Are you enjoying the fellowship of God’s personal love in your seasons of life?
