In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The inviting glow of the church on the hill welcomes those who gather to encourage one another and reflect on the love that lights the world. A cold winter landscape becomes inviting in the light of a full moon that is only a reflection of the unseen sun. This is a wonderful reminder that we are simply to reflect the light of the real Son, Jesus Christ, who was God’s gift to us in the form of a tiny baby. We are to share the warmth of His love with every person in every nation of this cold world. From out of the church has come a family led by the Spirit (symbolized by the dove), on mission to share this love with those in need. Notice that the back of the sleigh resembles a Bible. Not only will they share gifts, but they will take the message of the good news that the Bible tells us the way of salvation illustrated by the three crosses in the tree. We must place our faith in what Jesus did over 2000 years ago at a place called Calvary.
