Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you: He is Christ the Lord.
Hometown Christmas is a celebration of the fun and festivity of the Holiday Season. The artist comments, “I remember seeing a similar scene in the small town where I grew up.” Busy sidewalks, cars passing by, a trolley bringing visitors to the commemoration and the warmth of a fire all add to the wonder of the night. The bell ringer calls us to give to those less fortunate. Christmas lights strung on the cables that hold the tree in place remind us that people from every direction are drawn to this holy event. Red ornaments on the tree form a cross, the real reason for the season. Santa arrives and waves to the hometown crowd, bringing the manger bearing the Christ of Christmas. This is the One in whom we rejoice during this night of beauty and wonder. Christ is born.
